Binoculars Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I need batteries to operate Magnar 20x50?
A: No! Our binoculars do not require any power source.

Q: What is Mechanical Stabilization?
A: Mechanical stabilization also known as Cardanic Suspension is a design of an image stabilization system that incorporates mechanically suspended prism. Magnar uses unique and patented magnetic suspension mechanism to stabilize an image.

Q:  What will happen if I drop Magnar to the ground?
A:  We do it all the time. Sometimes unintentionally, sometime for fun - to see what will happen. Not only that, but we also hit it with 10g during our mechanical impact resistance test.  10g is the force equal to earth’s gravity times ten, when every part inside the binoculars weighed ten times its original weight. It survived the impact.

Q: Can I use Magnar 20x50 as a hammer if I need one?
A:  We do not recommend it. There are better and more convenient ways to put a nail in the wall.

Q:  What is Magnar 20x50 famous for?
A:  It is the best binoculars for boating, hunting, outdoors, surveillance and extreme weather conditions when you need reliable stabilizing binoculars and don’t want to worry about running out of batteries. Don’t take it to the opera - you might not fit the crowd well with it.

Q: Is Magnar 20x50 completely waterproof?
A: While our binoculars can sustain heavy rain and cold weather it is not recommender to fully immerse it in water for a long period of time.  Heavy rain and snow is not a problem for Magnar 20x50.
